നബിﷺയുടെ അമ്മായിആത്വിക ബീവിയുടെ മകൻ കൂടിയാണദ്ദേഹം. അദ്ദേഹം ചോദിച്ചു, അല്ലയോ മുഹമ്മദേ ﷺ നമ്മുടെ ജനത പല വാഗ്ദാനങ്ങളും മുന്നിൽ വെച്ചു. ഒന്നും അവിടുന്ന് അംഗീകരിച്ചില്ല. പിന്നീട്, അവർക്ക് വേണ്ടി ചിലത് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു. അതും നിറവേറ്റിയില്ല. ശേഷം, നിങ്ങൾ ചില ആസ്തികൾ പ്രകടിപ്പിച്ച് നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്ഥാനം പ്രകടിപ്പിക്കാൻ പറഞ്ഞു. അതും അംഗീകരിച്ചു കണ്ടില്ല. ചില ശിക്ഷകൾ അവതരിപ്പിക്കാൻ പറഞ്ഞു. അതും ചെയ്തില്ല. എന്നാൽ ഇനി ഞാനൊന്നു പറയട്ടെ ആകാശത്തേക്ക് ഒരു കോണി സ്ഥാപിക്കുക. അത് വഴി ഉയരത്തിലേക്ക് കയറുക. എന്നിട്ട് നാല് മലക്കുകളുടെ അകമ്പടിയോടെ ഒരു ഗ്രന്ഥവുമായി വരിക. ഇതെല്ലാം ഞാൻ കാണുന്ന രീതിയിൽ ചെയ്താൽ ഞാൻ വിശ്വസിച്ചോളാം. അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ഞാനംഗീകരിക്കൂല്ല. എന്നിട്ടദ്ദേഹം നബി ﷺ യിൽ നിന്ന് തിരിഞ്ഞു പോയി.
മുത്ത് നബി ﷺ യുടെ ഹൃദയം ആലോചനയിലാണ്ടു. അവരെ എങ്ങനെ നേർവഴിയിലാക്കാം എന്നാലോചിച്ച് വീട്ടിലേക്ക് നടന്നു.
അബൂജഹൽ വീണ്ടും രംഗത്ത് വന്നു. ഖുറൈശികളോട് പറഞ്ഞു മുഹമ്മദ് ﷺ നമ്മുടെ മുൻഗാമികളുടെ മതത്തെ നിരാകരിച്ച് മുന്നോട്ട് പോവുകയാണ്. വേറെ ഒരു ഉപാധിയും അംഗീകരിക്കുന്നില്ല. പടച്ചവൻ സത്യം ഞാനൊരു കാര്യം തീരുമാനിച്ചിരിക്കുകയാണ്. എനിക്ക് ചുമക്കാൻ കഴിയുന്നതിൽ ഏറ്റവും ഭാരമേറിയ ഒരു കല്ല് ഞാൻ കരുതി വെക്കും. നാളെ മുഹമ്മദ് ﷺ കഅബയുടെ അടുത്ത് നിസ്കരിക്കാൻ വരും. ആ പ്രാർത്ഥനയിൽ സുജൂദിൽ (സാഷ്ടാംഗം ) കിടക്കുമ്പോൾ ആ കല്ല് ചുമന്ന് ഞാൻ മുഹമ്മദി ﷺ ന്റെ തലയിൽ ഇട്ടുകൊടുക്കും. പിന്നെ അബ്ദുമനാഫിന്റെ മക്കൾ എന്നെ എന്ത് ചെയ്താലും കുഴപ്പമില്ല. കേട്ടവർ പറഞ്ഞു. നിങ്ങൾ ഉദ്ദേശിച്ച പ്രകാരം ചെയ്തോളൂ കുഴപ്പമില്ല.
പിറ്റേന്ന് പ്രഭാതമായി. പറഞ്ഞത് പ്രകാരമുള്ള ഒരു കല്ല് അബൂജഹൽ കരുതി വച്ചു. രാവിലെ പതിവുപോലെ നബി ﷺ കഅബയുടെ സന്നിധിയിലെത്തി. ശാമിൻ്റെ ഭാഗത്തേക്ക് തിരിഞ്ഞു. റുകനുൽ യമാനിയുടെയും ഹജറുൽ അസ്'വദിൻ്റെയും ഇടയിൽ കഅബക്കഭിമുഖമായി നിന്നു. അഥവാ കഅബയുടെ വടക്ക് ഭാഗത്തേക്ക് തിരിഞ്ഞു തെക്കുഭാഗത്ത് നിന്നു നിസ്കാരമാരംഭിച്ചു. ഖുറൈശീ പ്രമുഖരെല്ലാം രാവിലെ തന്നെ അവരുടെ ക്ലബ്ബിൽ ഒത്തുകൂടിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. എല്ലാവരും ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചു. എന്താണ് സംഭവിക്കാൻ പോകുന്നത്. നബി ﷺ സുജൂദിലേക്ക് പോയി. അബൂ ജഹൽ പാറയും ചുമന്ന് അടുത്തേക്ക് നീങ്ങി. അടുത്തെത്തിയതും പേടിച്ചരണ്ട് അയാൾ പിന്നോട്ടോടി. പാറ അയാളുടെ കയ്യിൽ പറ്റിപ്പിടിച്ചപോലെ. അയാളുടെ മുഖം വിവർണമായി. ആകെ ഇളിഭ്യനായി പാറ വലിച്ചെറിഞ്ഞു.
രംഗം നോക്കിയിരുന്ന ഖുറൈശി പ്രമുഖരിൽ ചിലർ ഓടിച്ചെന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. യാ.. അബുൽഹകം. അല്ലയോ അബുൽ ഹകം എന്ത് സംഭവിച്ചു. അയാൾ പറഞ്ഞു. ഞാൻ ഇന്നലെ പറഞ്ഞ പ്രകാരം ചെയ്യാൻ അടുത്തതാണ്. അപ്പോഴതാ ഒരു കൂറ്റൻ ഒട്ടകം മുഹമ്മദി ﷺ ന്റെ അടുത്ത് വാ പിളർന്നു നിൽക്കുന്നു. ഇത്രയും ഭീമാകാരമായ ഒരൊട്ടകത്തെ ഞാൻ കണ്ടിട്ടേ ഇല്ല. എന്നെ വിഴുങ്ങാനുള്ള ഒരുക്കമായിരുന്നു അത്.
( പിന്നീട് നബി ﷺ പറഞ്ഞു ജിബ്'രീൽ(അ) ആയിരുന്നു അത്. അബൂജഹൽ എന്റെ തൊട്ടടുത്തെത്തിയിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ തീർച്ചയായും ജിബ്‌രീൽ(അ) അയാളെ പിടിക്കുമായിരുന്നു)
അധികം വൈകിയില്ല. ഖുറൈശികൾ ഉന്നയിച്ച ഓരോ പ്രശ്നങ്ങളേയും ഖുർആൻ അഭിമുഖീകരിച്ചു.
മരണപ്പെട്ടവർ തിരിച്ചു വന്നു പറയട്ടെ എന്നായിരുന്നു ഒരിക്കൽ അവർ പറഞ്ഞത്. ഖുർആൻ അത് സംബന്ധമായി പ്രതികരിച്ചതിങ്ങനെയാണ്. "പർവ്വതങ്ങളെ ചലിപ്പിക്കുക, ഭൂമിയെ പിളർത്തുക, മരിച്ചവരെ ശ്മശാനങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് എഴുന്നേൽപിച്ചു സംസാരിപ്പിക്കുക ഇങ്ങനെയൊക്കെയുള്ള ഒരു ഖുർആൻ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ എന്താണുണ്ടാവുക? (ഇതൊന്നുമൊരു പ്രയാസമുളള സംഗതിയൊന്നുമല്ല) എന്നാൽ, സർവ്വാധികാരവും അല്ലാഹുവിനാകുന്നു.(സത്യനിഷേധികൾക്ക് മറുപടിയായി എന്തെങ്കിലും അത്ഭുതം സംഭവിക്കുമെന്ന് കരുതിയ)വിശ്വാസികൾ അല്ലാഹു ഉദേശിച്ചാൽ എല്ലാവരും വിശ്വാസികളാകുമായിരുന്നല്ലോ എന്ന് ചിന്തിച്ച് ആ വിചാരത്തിൽ നിന്ന് പിൻമാറിയിട്ടില്ലേ? അല്ലാഹുവിനോട് ധിക്കാരം കാണിക്കുന്നവർക്ക് അവരുടെ കർമഫലമായി പലവിപത്തുകളും വന്നു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കും. അല്ലെങ്കിൽ അവരുടെ ഭവനത്തിന് സമീപത്ത് വിപത്തിറങ്ങും. അല്ലാഹുവിന്റെ വാഗ്ദാനം പുലരുന്നത് വരെ ഇത് തുടർന്നു കൊണ്ടേയിരിക്കും. അവൻ ഒരിക്കലും വാഗ്ദാനം ലംഘിക്കുന്നവനല്ല." അൽ റഅദ് അധ്യായത്തിലെ മുപ്പത്തിയൊന്നാം സൂക്തത്തിൻറെ ആശയമാണിത്.
اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى سَيِّدِنٰا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ وَسَلِّمْ

He is also the son of the aunt of the Prophetﷺ. He asked, O Muhammad ﷺ, our people made many promises. You did not accept anything. Then they asked something for them and did not fulfill it either. Then asked to reveal your status of assets. That too was not accepted and asked to present some punishments and that was also not done. Now let me say a matter. Place a ladder towards the sky and ascend through it to the height. Then come with a book accompanied by four angels. If all this is done the way I see it, I may believe it. Then he turned away from Prophet ﷺ .
The heart of the Prophetﷺ was pondering seriously and he walked home thinking how to guide them.
Abu Jahl appeared again. He said to the Quraish, Muhammadﷺ is moving forward by rejecting the religion of our predecessors. He does not accept any other option. The truth is that I have decided one thing. I will take the biggest rock I can carry and put it on the head of Muhammadﷺ when he will be in prostration (Sujood) near the holy Ka'aba tomorrow. Then, whatever the children of Abdu Manaf do to me, it is not a problem. Those who heard said. Do as you wish, no problem.
The next morning, Abu Jahl kept a stone as he had said. As usual in the morning, the Prophet ﷺ came to the holy Ka'aba and turned towards Sham. He stood between Rukan al-Yamani and Hajar al-Aswad, facing the holy Ka'aba. Or facing the north side of the holy Ka' aba and stood on the south side. The prayer began. All the Qurash notables have gathered in their club early in the morning. Everyone noticed. What was going to happen? The Prophetﷺ went into prostration. Abu Jahl moved closer carrying a rock. Soon he turned back. As if the rock stuck to his hand. His face turned pale. Disgraced Abu Jahl threw away the rock.
Some of the Quraish notables who were watching the scene came running and asked. Ya Abalhakam, Oh, what happened to you?. He said. I was about to do what I said yesterday at that time, a huge camel was standing near Muhammadﷺ with its mouth wide open. I have never seen such a huge monstrous camel in my life. It was preparing to swallow me.
(Later the Prophet ﷺ said, “It was Gibreel (A.S.). If Abu Jahl had come near me, Gibreel would have caught him.”
Not too late. The holy Qur'an revealed addressing each of the issues raised by the Quraish.
Once they had said that the dead should come back and tell. The Qur'an responded in this regard: "Moving the mountains, splitting the earth, raising the dead from the graves and making them speak, what would happen if the holy Qur'an was presented like this? (This is not a difficult matter) but all power belongs to Allah. (Some believers thought that some miracle would happen in response to the disbelievers) Have not yet those who believe known that if Allah please, He would certainly guide all the people ?. And (as for) those who disbelieve , there will not cease in to afflict them calamity because of what they do repelling or calamities will descend near their abodes. This will continue until the promise of Allah dawns. Surely He never breaks His promise. "This is the idea of the thirty-first verse of Al Ra'ad chapter.
